Never, Ever Let Words Come Out Of Your Mouth When You’re Looking Down
How much value do you put into something that someone is saying when they are talking to you and looking down? Are they embarrassed? Are they sure about what they are saying? Do they believe what they are saying? Are they misleading you? Those are the kind of questions another person gets when you speak and are looking down at the same time.
To get the full impact out of what you are trying to say, you must look into the eyes of the other person or the audience to whom you are speaking to. They have to know that you believe in what you are saying. They have to receive the full impact of your remarks. Excellent speakers don’t let words come out of their mouth while looking down.
The next time you hear someone on TV or in a movie, just watch how they deliver their lines. You’ll see that your are listening to them because of their directness of their word delivery and the meaning of what they are saying. It is your job not only to listen to this type of speaker, but also to learn from them and make all of your presentations meaningful by always delivering your words while directly looking at the person or people you are addressing.
