Small Wins Bring Success
There are so many articles and talks give about success today that we might come to ignore them. A lot of people want success and think they need to do something really big in order to be successful. But really, is it necessary to hit on that one great, big idea? Do we really need to invent something to become successful? Do we need to become another Steve Jobs?
In my opinion, the answer is definitely no. What you need to do is get a lot of small wins at something you are interested in. If you want to be a writer, start with a letter to the editor in your local newspaper. Volunteer to write short articles for your church or club’s newsletter. You can start blogging as well. Small wins lead to success.
Let’s use weight loss as an example. If you want big weight loss fast, it isn’t going to happen from one day to the next. The way you win is to lose a couple of pounds a month and stay at it. Even if you lost only 2 pounds a month, you would really be losing big by having lost 24 pounds in a year.
I believe moderation is more satisfying and stays with you longer. The success will continue on if it becomes a habit. Make success a habit. Start today!
